The De La Salle Regime
Eleven De La Salle Brothers sailed from Marseilles on the 16th of August, 1859 and arrived in Calcutta on the 26th of September.
Ten of them were sent to Dum Dum to study English for 3 months under the tutelage of a Calcutta Brother.
They then joined the Moorghihatta community
However there was no harmony between the two groups
The De La Salle Brothers separated from the Calcutta Brothers by going to the Dum Dum villa on 4th November, 1860 and left Calcutta the following August.
