Br. Vincent Casey



Br. Vincent Casey worked very hard to improve the living conditions of the Brothers and to train them in community living.

Besides being Provincial, he took over as the Director of the Orphanage with Br. Fabian Kenneally in  charge of Bow Bazaar.

As a result of the strain of over work, he died within 8 months of his arrival in India

On  the death of Br. Vincent  Casey, Br. Fabian Kenneally was appointed Provincial on 20th November, 1890.

He held office for 25  years and was responsible for the amalgamation of the Calcutta Brothers with the Irish Christian Brothers, the  starting of a number of new schools, a new novitiate, and organizing the studies of the Brothers.
